*NOTE ON RISK RATINGS*

You can skip this note if...

• You previously installed the 5.01 update and have already re-converted risk models and data files. (You do not have to re-convert again.)
• You do not use the risk ratings within FINPACK.
• You do not have any custom criteria defined in your risk models.

There was a problem in release 5.00 with risk ratings that have custom criteria (non-FINPACK items, such as "Years as a customer"). Because of this problem, you will need to re-convert the risk models again along with the data files that have any risk rating reports.

To re-convert the risk models, start the file conversion by selecting File + Convert from the FINPACK menu. In the conversion program, go to the "Step 1. Convert Program Setup" tab. On that tab, select the directory of the previous FINPACK version (FINPACK 2005). You can click on the "Show Details" button, then unselect everything in the list except for "Risk rating models" (its at the bottom of the list). Click the "Convert Program Setup" button and when it prompts you if you want to replace each model, click "Yes".

After re-converting the risk models you will also need to re-convert any data files as well.

System requirements

FINPACK Standard, FINPACK for Lenders, or Educational version 5.0 or higher installed.

Installation instructions

During the download you may either run the update or save it to disk. If you have a fast internet connection, run the update right away. If you are prompted to save the file to your computer, save the update to your Desktop. After the file has downloaded, run the update by double clicking on FP_Update.exe on the Desktop. After installing the update, you may delete the FP_Update.exe file from your Desktop.

Follow the instructions provided with the update to finish the installation. You will know the update is successful by starting FINPACK, click on Help, then click on About to view the your software version.

Note for network installations: When you are prompted for the destination location during the update, change the location to the network folder where FINPACK is installed. This update installs new program files in the network folder. There is no need to re-run NetSetup.exe for each workstation.
